Jeff Houghton, Owner
Born and raised in West Kelowna, Jeff is the co-founder of H&H Custom Homes. After earning his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and his Real Estate Trading Services License, Jeff combined his passion for business, real estate, and construction to launch H&H alongside his best friend Clark Hamagami in 2008.
While attending university, Jeff developed a strong interest in both accounting and real estate and nearly followed in his father’s footsteps by taking over the family accounting practice. Instead, he decided to take a chance and pursue something new; building and developing homes in the Okanagan. His background in business and finance continues to play a big role in the company today, and Jeff still handles much of the accounting and financial oversight for H&H.
Since then, the company has grown into an award-winning builder known for creating thoughtfully designed homes throughout the Okanagan. Jeff takes pride in assembling a great team of trades and building homes that clients are genuinely excited to live in.
Outside the office and off the job site, Jeff enjoys reading, golfing, and spending time with his wife Jessica and their two daughters, Quinn and Blake. He is a member at Harvest Golf Club and spends as much time there as possible during the warmer months. In the winter, the family can often be found at their place at Big White skiing and snowboarding, or escaping the cold and travelling together whenever they get the chance.
Jessica Houghton
Jessica Houghton has been a dedicated educator at Mount Boucherie Secondary School for more than 11 years and completed her Master’s degree with honours in May 2025. Throughout her teaching career, she has been deeply involved in student leadership programs and the school’s soccer academy, where she brings her passion for mentorship, teamwork, and personal development to the classroom and field.
Before becoming an educator, Jessica was an accomplished athlete. She played five seasons with the UBC Women’s Soccer team and still holds the program’s all-time records for most minutes and games played; a testament to her resilience, work ethic, and commitment to the sport. In 2011, she represented Canada at the Summer World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
Today, Jessica channels that same energy into teaching, raising her two daughters, and staying active. A proud mom to Quinn and Blake, she enjoys early morning runs, OrangeTheory workouts, golfing, snowboarding at Big White, and getting lost in a good book. Jessica also has a growing passion for wine and is currently pursuing her WSET certification, with the goal of becoming a certified wine sommelier. When she’s not at school or on the move with family activities, she loves to travel and explore new places.
Quinn & Blake
Quinn and Blake Houghton are the energetic and adventurous daughters of Jeff and Jessica. Growing up in the Okanagan, they spend most of their time outdoors, staying active, and trying new things.
Quinn, nearly six years old, has already developed a love for athletics and adventure. She enjoys jiu-jitsu, competitive swimming, ballet and hip-hop dance, and is an excellent young skier; she's most often found confidently weaving through the trees. Quinn loves kindergarten, meeting new friends, and exploring new activities. Like her mom, she has a natural inclination toward sports (she even started walking at just eight months old). Quinn also has a kind heart, always wants to do her best, and currently has a very cute fondness for animal-print outfits.
Blake, nearly four, brings plenty of personality and enthusiasm of her own. She loves participating in all-sport programs, learned to swim independently at just two years old, and enjoys skiing alongside her sister and playing outside whenever she can. Blake is a little more outspoken and independent than Quinn, happily forging her own path and keeping everyone on their toes. She loves daycare, spending time with friends, and, like many kids her age, has a definite soft spot for anything chocolate.
Together, Quinn and Blake bring endless energy, laughter, and adventure to the Houghton family.
Cam Humphrey
Born and raised in Castlegar, Cam is our Project Superintendent and Staff Liaison. His personality and knowledge as a Certified Journeyman Red Seal carpenter make him an integral part of our team. Cam has been working with us since 2012 and has worked his way through the ranks and proven his value time and time again. He thrives on seeing a project through from start to finish and creating an end product that both he and his clients are proud of. Outside the office and off the job site, Cam enjoys spending time with his wife Tess, coaching their sons (Preston, Easton and Shay's) hockey teams, and hanging out with his dog Jorja.
Rae Dobbin
Born and raised in Kelowna, Rae has been our go-to girl for all things design, marketing, sales, and admin related since 2018. She worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years before starting with us, but coming from a family of developers, she was destined to work in the housing industry. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and an Interior Decorating Certificate. Rae has a passion for design and creating beautiful spaces. Outside the office and off the job site, Rae enjoys spending time with her family and partner Steve, their dog Obie and their cat Billy, as well as going to local wineries with friends.
Steven Koshey
Born and raised in Trail, Steve is the ultimate journeyman. Having worked on many industrial, commercial and residential projects, Steve brings a wide variety of skills and knowledge to our team. He's been working with us since 2017 and we're happy to have him as a full-time employee. Steve is our construction foreman, carpenter and safety coordinator. His passion and work ethic make him an important piece of the H&H team. Steve believes in creating professional relationships by establishing trust with his co-workers and bringing a positive attitude to motivate others to work to the best of their ability. Outside the office and off the job site, Steve enjoys spending time with his friends and partner Rae, as well as anything active or sports related.
Troy Shaw
Born and raised in Castlegar, Troy is one of our journeyman carpenters and construction foreman. Troy has been working with us since 2012 and is always up for any task. During his time with us, he's learned the ins and outs of the H&H processes and his extensive company knowledge makes him an asset to our team. He believes in taking the time to get the job done right and seeing every task through to the end. Outside the office and off the job site, Troy enjoys spending time with his partner Ashley and their son Jaxon and teaching him everything they know.
Jamie Gillmann
Born and raised in Kelowna, Jamie is our earthworks foreman. Jamie has been working with us since 2016 and brings his vast landscaping knowledge to the table daily. He is our go-to when it comes to getting the ground prepped for our new builds and tying up any loose ends. Jamie believes in working smart by conducting the proper prep and planning before diving into any task. Outside the office and off the job site, Jamie considers himself a movie buff and enjoys spending time with his family and discovering new music.
